After 30 years form last official appearance of Laverda (in 1978 with the V6!!) in the Bol D'Or 24h race, this year Laverda Corse attended the Bol D'Or Classic 2008 with a triple "Space Frame".
From Italy arrived at Magny Cours Piero, Giovanni and Edoardo Dossena (ex-works rider).
Gentlemen-riders were the French brothers Max and Fred Collonge form Team Lavergnac (the only Laverdas that runs with Cognac..!!).
Lots of Laverda French fans have been coming along this event, that unfortunately haven't been so easy as hoped. The reason was the heavy rain that dropped down all the week-end.
But our wasn't the only Laverda in race: there were also the Dutch teams Laverda Van Dijk Racing (1000cc), FTR Classic (500cc), Team Le Roy (750cc) and the French Classic 72 (750cc).
The experience has been positive (even if our bike finished in 27th spot on 57 starters) considering the general level of competitors and having demonstrated perfect working conditions of the engine and any mechanical problems. We can say that we had the confirmation of a good and positive potential for the future races. Our riders weren't so expert in wet conditions so the main target was just to come to the end with no risks for them and no heavy damage for the bike.
Now next challenge will be the 4h of Spa.
